About Me
Hey I'm Adam, a fellow DIY'er who has spent a lot of time in the construction industry. From a young age I was very active and always trying to figure out how things worked, even if that meant tearing them apart to see what was inside. Of course my parents really appreciated that. My Father taught me with knowledge, tools, and a good work ethic, I could build, fix, and repair just about anything myself. I have taken those fundamentals and continued to learn through research, asking professionals, testing, doing the work, and yes, learning from mistakes along the way.
While I grew up around construction, I at one time decided I was going to do something different. So I joined the police academy, graduated, and served as a Law Enforcement Officer in my community for a number of years. But that desire to wire, build, and fix things never left. So I returned to the construction industry and have been in it for over a decade, continuing to sharpen my skills, learn, and even sit for my General Contractors License.
Now I have my YouTube Channel How To Home which has 100's of thousands of subscribers and this website, to hopefully be able to pass along the things I have learned along the way, hopefully empowering people to tackle the tasks they have on their own properties.
I am also building a community on Facebook where DIYers from different backgrounds can post and try to help one another with their projects. So if you need help with a project and want to ask a question click on the following link! How To Home Facebook Community.

Hopefully myself or someone in our community can help you with your DIY project whether it be on my YouTube channel, this website, or our DIY Facebook Community.
